Alchemy is defined as the following by the Oxford Dictionary:

The medieval forerunner of chemistry, concerned with the transmutation of matter, in particular with attempts to convert base metals into gold or find a universal elixir:

‘occult sciences, such as alchemy and astrology’

1.1  A seemingly magical process of transformation, creation, or combination:

‘finding the person who’s right for you requires a very subtle alchemy’

The world, now more than ever before seems to be pigeon-holing all of us into boxes, slapping labels on all of us for one distinct trait that we may or may not possess.

I am not my race,

my gender,

my postcode,

my love of politics,

my adoration of the written word,

my hair,

my lust for travel,

my zeal for animation,

my enjoyment of fashion,

my joys,

my insecurities.

And neither are you.

As Man we are unique beings composed of multiple elements, ideologies & ideals – every end product is a unique blend, a one-of-a-kind compound.

The Western early alchemists of old theorised that all matter & all life is comprised of three core elements in various combinations & distilled via multiple processes to shift, change & transform them into the end products.

Modern chemistry combines simple building blocks to create large complex structures with different properties & traits – although there are now 118 elements as opposed to the original three.

Sounds real similar doesn’t it?

So think of this as the periodic table. The place to identify common ground and to discover new traits that you may not have considered yourself to originally possess.

Life is a series of transformations – both in our physical & mental states, and so here I hope to give you a glimpse into my own transformation & perhaps put you on the path to starting one of your own.
